My everyday is a constant struggle of me trying to make myself better, trying to be the best version of me. I have no right to put myself down if I am not the best me. All I have learned so far is that staying positive and thinking, encouraging myself that I could do better. Try, try harder and you will get there! This is your life, grab it already and take control of it. This is the way I see things. If you want/love something, you go for it. If you are not already your own first priority you need to re-configure. You should always be at the top of your own list. It’s not selfish at all to love yourself, take care of yourself and to make your happiness a priority. It’s necessary. You are good enough. It doesn’t matter that you missed your workout today, or that you got an assignment in late or you failed your exam. You’re human. I’ve been learning a lot about myself lately and I can’t explain how much it has changed the way I think about myself. Tbh I have always been so critical of myself, constantly putting myself down for no good reason! Negative self talk is something we all do, right? but now when I notice myself doing it I stop myself. I tell myself it’s okay. I’m trying my best to be the be the best version of me. No, I didn’t get everything done that I wanted to today but I gave it my all.
Life is hard and mean and will always beat you down one way or other. But it can never stop you. The only person that gets in your is ‘you’. Growing up made me realise the importance of making yourself a priority. The importance of relying on yourself more than you rely on anyone else. To be your own strength and joy, because people won’t always be there for you no matter how much they love you. You really are all you’ve got! And I believe that there is just so much negativity in the world that we need to stop putting ourselves down and remind ourselves to be kind, be gentle, treat yourself because you deserve it.I believe in the power of self-love. Because EVERYTHING begins with the relationship we have with ourselves. Well here is how I try to be the best Zahra that I can!
You Can Be The Best Version Of You
Stop comparing yourself to others Just stop! you are your own person! Always remember that someones grass will always be greener than yours. How would you even try and better yourself if you look at others? When you compare yourself to other people, you just hurt yourself. You will never feel good enough because everyone is unique and have their own characteristics and personality. Everyone is different from one another. And trust me you cannot be the best version of you by copying someone else. Focus on yourself, you were meant to be you and you are amazing. You have a beautiful soul. Be confident!
Set boundaries with people in your life Setting boundaries with people is such a life changer, trust me. I think when we don’t set boundaries with people in our lives, our time and accept what we don’t really want to, shows we undervalue how important we really are.
Be positive This is a quite difficult part. I will be honest here, I am not always a positive person. I have my down days. There have been so many times when my parents have had to help me pick up pieces or I have just come home crying to them and being the most negative person you could meet. But bad days pass! All you have to do is Instead of spending your time and energy imagining what might go wrong, spend it imagining what could go RIGHT! Spread Positivity and Surround yourself with positive people and it will change your life.
Find your own happiness Make sure to always put your happiness first.Being happy requires that you define your life in your own ways and then throw your whole heart into living your life to the fullest. In a way, happiness requires that you be perfectly selfish in order to develop yourself to a point where you can be unselfish for the rest of your life. Never put the key to your happiness in somebody else’s pocket but your own!
Take care of yourself No, it’s not selfish to take care of yourself. Self care is the most important thing. You need to take care of yourself above anyone else. Eat as much as you (but eat healthy :P), Drink water, Go out, watch a movie alone, let yourself live a little. And never forget to remind yourself that the most important person is ‘ME’.
