This post is all about how to fix your Oily Skin with natural remedies. Oily skin? Large pores? Acne? Being in an oily skin is one hell of a challenge. Also, for us ladies, oily skin problems are due to the hormones we experience during our menstrual cycles. Do you know that what it actually pays to have oily skin in the long run? the great advantage of oily skin is that it ages at a slower rate than all other skin types. Anyways, I don not have an oily skin but I do suffer from acne and I know it sucks to death! urghhhh! I know I know girls how it feels to wish for different skin. But don’t worry, the great news is that you can fix your oily skin with natural, home remedies. 😀
So, here I’m gonna tell you few, that I personally use to manage my oily skin. It’s going to be a long post but worth reading! 😛 I hope these helps.
The most important thing is that you stay committed to any of these remedies at least for 4 to 6 weeks in order to see any difference.
Firstly, Cleansing your face with plenty of WARM water, because warm water dissolves skin oil better than lukewarm or cold water. Do not use burning hot water, don’t burn yourself. Wash your face 3 times a day. Try to keep your skin very clean. I would not recommend moisturising cleansers because they leave your skin even more oily. Also, avoid using those cleansing products that leave your skin dehydrated. The best thing to do is to choose a cleanser that has AHAs (alpha-hydroxy acids). It helps managing the oil properly in your pores and fight bacteria’s and infection. If you have a severe acne/pimples issues, then you should consult a good dermatologist before trying out home remedies.
Drink 8 glasses of water daily. Drinking plenty of water keeps your skin hydrated and flush outs toxins. Also, it helps keep skin clear and healthy.
Lemon/Lime juice is best for the skin. Lemons scent alone can only make us feel instantly refreshed. It reduces greasiness and oil on the skin. Trust me it does wonders on the skin. You can directly apply lemon juice on your face. Apply it and leave it for 15 to 20 mins. And then wash it with Luke warm water. It’s itchy in the start but it gets fine after few mins. DONOT apply if you have super sensitive skin or you are allergic to it. You can also put a slice of lemon in a warm cup of water and drink it in the morning before having breakfast. It will help purge toxins from the blood which helps keep skin clear and bright. Also, it helps losing weight 😀
Turmeric is famous as a golden spice. It is very beneficial for health as well as beauty. It is known to endow glowing skin. But only if you use it regularly as I said before, commitment is very important. All you need to do is make a thick paste of turmeric and honey, apply it all over your face and neck. Leave it for 30 mins. Wash it off with a tap water. It gives an amazing result. If not honey, you can also make this paste by adding lemon juice to turmeric. It keeps the skin fresh and healthy, helps formation of new cells and makes the skin youthful and radiant.
Eat as mush as green you can. Add plenty of green vegetables and fresh fruits to daily meals. Just so you know even a slight deficiency in vitamin B2 can cause oily skin and thus pimples. Green veggies are the best food for the people with oily skins out there. Believe me I’m not a great vegetable fan but I try to add more and more green leafs to my meals. Try to add a little each day to your diet to see benefits. Buckwheat, black beans and whole rice are rich in iron, which can rejuvenate the skin and leaves a glow.

It’s very refreshing. It heals the redness, acne scars, sun burns etc. in no time. I would recommend to apply it daily. It results in fixing your skin tone.
Egg white mask:
Egg white tightens the pores and soaks up all the oil from the skin. You can apply only egg white on the skin and peal it off after 15 mins. For the mask, Add one tablespoon of honey with the egg white. Stir it properly. Apply the mask for 15 to 20 mins. It shows really good results. Also helps reducing acne and scars.
Baking Soda mask:
Baking soda is a cheap and is found in nearly every kitchen. It can do wonders for your skin. Make a mask by adding a water to baking soda. Make a thick paste. Apply on the face for 30 mins or when its completely dry, then wash it. Repeat once daily for 2 or 3 days, then reduce the frequency to 1 or 2 times a week. It effective when used for short period of time. It fights best with acne and pimples. It’s also beneficial for hair, it whitens yellow teeth, treats yellow nails etc.
Lastly, Girls always invest in good quality makeup products. Don’t use fake products on the skin.
